Dear podficcer!
HI! I'm so excited to hear what you decide to make me! Podfic is one of my favorite forms of fanwork, and podfic fandom is my favorite fandom, and my favorite thing about fandom is interacting with people who love the things that I love. Participating in ITPE is a two-fer: it's a fanwork-form we both love, and we were matched for the fandoms we both love!
The corollary to this, btw, is that, more than anything, I want you to have fun during ITPE. Don't stress out about it. I'll love whatever you make, I promise!
That having been said, if you want some guidance, here are some lists:
A non-exhaustive list of fandoms I adore (in no particular order):
Young Wizards
Jupiter Ascending
Leverage
Vorkosigan Saga
Mad Max: Fury Road
Due South
Rivers of London
Teen Wolf (focus on the ladies please!)
Marvel Cinematic Universe (read: Avengers, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Peggy Carter, Agents of SHIELD)
Avatar: the Last Airbender, Avatar: the Legend of Korra
Welcome to Nightvale
Fast and the Furious
Almost Human
fic elements I adore
focus on minor characters
focus on women
focus on characters of color
focus on genderqueer characters
happy endings! (of any degree of innuendo :D)
humor
geekiness
warm-fuzzies
funky formats (epistolary, texts, tweets, programming language...)
AUs
crossovers
fusions
a-day-in-the-life
found families
polyamory
MANYMANY OTHER THINGS (seriously, I'm pretty easy to please)
SQUICKS/TRIGGERS
chase scenes
no-escape situations (either real or metaphorical – eg backed into a corner, despair, suicidal ideation, variations on "you have nowhere (else) to go", "no one will believe you")
character death (either minor or major)
dub- or non-con
misunderstandings/miscommunication as a plot device
mental health care professionals who suck at their jobs (e.g.: Hannibal, Once Upon a Time, Alphas, etc)
more-than-canonical gore (applies per canon, so what's ok in teen wolf is not in leverage)
Please don't assume that a listed squick is not hard-and-fast because I've podficced something that kinda fits that description. I sometimes find it cathartic to podfic something myself that would give me serious problems otherwise.
If you have any questions, you can ask analise010 or reenajenkins, who have a pretty good handle on my likes and dislikes :D
