Dear Podficcer Letter: #itpe2019

 Dear ITPE-er!

Hiya :D I'm so thrilled that you're recording a podfic for me! I really love this exchange, and I'm very excited to listen to whatever you make for me :D

Fandoms I like, with notes, in no particular order:

• Leverage - I’m mostly here for the OT3 and gen. I love Sophie, but Nate and his issues annoy me.
• white collar - ditto on the OT3. As far as I'm concerned the canon here ends sometime around S3; Diana is back (but Lauren can stay!), Sara is excellent, El and Peter are rock-solid, and there are no clouds on the horizon. Fandom seems to agree with me on many of these, so I shouldn’t think you’ll have much trouble, should you decide to go in this direction. A good fandom for h/c, which I do love!
• Vorkosigan - I have many many feelings about everyone: Miles, Cordelia, Aral, Ekaterin, Gregor, Simon, Elena, Kareen, Alys, Ivan, Taura, Tej, Laisa, Ethan, Bothari, Elli, Dono, Jole… Everyone. They are my darlings. All of them should have everything they deserve, with everything that entails.
• Fast and Furious - All the found family forever and ever and ever and ever and ever. Dom/Brian is excellent, Mia/Brian is excellent, poly is fine and excellent, though I’d rather it was non-incestuous, please. This is another good fandom for h/c. (I'm not really interested in the Hobbs and Shaw movie though, sorry!)
• Young Wizards - tiny fandom of my heeaaaaart. I love them so much. So much. So so so much. All of them. Everyone. In every time and place.
• Rivers of London - I do love this fandom, but the things I love in it are complicated. For the sake of ease, I'll say that I'd prefer nothing higher than a PG-13 rating for Peter/Thomas, though shippy stuff is fine. Beverly and her extended family are great. Abigail is great. Lesley is great. Molly is great.
• Due South - Ray K/Fraser, an oldie but a goodie
• The Eagle/Eagle of the Ninth - another old-er fandom, but I do love Esca and Marcus (and Cottia, if book canon!)
• Dragon Age: Inquisition - I love everyone except Blackwall, whom I'm afraid I don't have much patience for. Krem and Harding are also excellent, should you want to go in this direction. 
• Guardian - I know that this might be a bit more of a stretch, but if you're interested, there's some lovely fic for this tiny, beautiful, sometimes quite silly show. I mostly ship Zhao Yunlan/Shen Wei, but so does the show :D

I'm going to depart a bit from what I've said in past years, because I've had a very, very long year, and say explicitly that I'd rather not receive angst. I'm not saying that I'm only interested in marshmallow fluff, and a few short moments of angst are ok, but I'd like for the overall tone to be on the happy side. More specific squicks/triggers include:

• no-escape situations (either real or metaphorical – eg backed into a corner, despair, suicidal ideation, variations on "you have nowhere (else) to go", "no one will believe you")
• dub- or non-con
• misunderstandings/miscommunication as a plot device
• chase scenes (Fast and the Furious gets an exception)
• major character death 
• honestly please just stay away from anything that gets iffy in a mental-health way. If you're not sure, please please please ask. Reenajenkins and analise010 both know what I like, and the mods are happy to pass along a question. Please please please ask.
