First, know that one of my favorite things about fandom in general, and podfic specifically, is knowing that I'm interacting with people who love the things I love. The corollary to this is that, more than anything, I want you to love what you're podficcing, especially if it's a gift. This is actually pretty selfish of me: it's considerably less fun for me if you don't like what you're doing. The one exception to this is my squick list, which is pretty hard and fast for podfic, I'm sorry to say D:
What this means, in practical purposes, is that this letter is intended as a starting point if you're stuck or need ideas. I don't really have OTP preferences for the fandoms listed here.
That having been said, if you're looking for more guidance, here's some lists:
A non-exhaustive list of fandoms I adore (in no particular order)
Due South
Avengers (and Thor and Iron Man and Captain America and Hulk and all the little bits and pieces)

misunderstandings/miscommunication as a plot device
mental health care professionals who suck at their jobs (e.g.: Hannibal, Once Upon a Time, Alphas, etc)
Please don't assume that because I've podficced something that kinda fits something I've listed as a squick, that it's not hard and fast. I sometimes find it cathartic to podfic something myself that would give me serious problems otherwise, and the list of things I will listen to it quite a bit shorter than the list of things I will record.
If you have any questions, pleasepleaseplease ask the mods and they'll pass on the question. I don't think you'll have trouble finding something, but if you have any questions at all, pleasepleaseplease ask :D I hate having to talk about squicks near the end, because it makes this feel like it ends on a down note, which is not at all what I want!
